The Steller's Jay is a colorful and noisy bird. He is a common sight in the pine trees around our home and loves peanuts. The Stellar's Jay often raids the nests of other birds.
The vibrant blue colors on their wings and tail feathers have an iridescent cast when the light hits them in flight.

This Steller's Jay is sculpted from Northern Basswood, painted in Acrylics and mounted on a Oak Base

The Blue Jay is a colorful and mischevious bird. I am amused when they sit in the pine trees and watch the squirrels bury a peanut. The Blue Jay then swoops down to dig it up and flies off with it as soon as the squirrel leaves.

This Blue Jay is sculpted from Northern Basswood, painted in Acrylics and mounted on a Walnut Base

The Robin is one of the most popular birds. The distinctive red breast and their characteristic style of rapidly running along and abruptly stopping while cocking their heads to look for insects or worms is enjoyed by all.

This Robin is sculpted from Northern Basswood, painted in Acrylics and mounted on an Oak Base.

The Chickadee is one of my favorite birds. This beautiful little bird dances around the pine trees in all positions and is happy with the deep snow of winter which accentuates his unique coloring.

This Chickadee is sculpted from Northern Basswood, painted in Acrylics and mounted on a custom turned Walnut base.

The Downey Woodpecker is found hopping up and down tree trucks looking for tasty morsels or hammering away to get those hidden but not escaping.

This Downey was sculpted from Southern Tupelo wood, painted in Acrylics and mounted on an Oak Base.

Status:   Available
